Terms & Conditions
These terms form a binding agreement between you and NoorNikah. By creating an account, submitting a profile or paying for a plan, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.
1. Who may use NoorNikah
Membership is open only to individuals aged 18 or above who are legally free to marry under the law that applies to them. Profiles may be created for yourself or, with their knowledge and consent, for a close family member. Creating a profile for another person without their consent is prohibited.
2. Purpose of the service
NoorNikah is a matrimonial introduction service intended solely for marriage. It is not a dating, casual friendship or escort service. Using the platform for anything other than a genuine search for marriage will result in immediate removal without refund.
3. Accuracy of the information you provide
You are solely responsible for the truth, accuracy and lawfulness of every detail and photograph you upload, including age, marital status, education, occupation, income and family details. Misrepresentation is a serious breach of these terms and may also be an offence under applicable law.
4. What verification does and does not mean
Verification badges reflect the checks we were able to perform, such as phone, email, photo or an identity document. They are an assurance of effort, not a guarantee of a person's character, intentions, marital status or financial position. NoorNikah does not conduct background investigations and does not act as a marriage broker, agent or guarantor for any member.
5. Your own due diligence
Any decision to meet, share personal details with, become engaged to or marry another member is entirely your own. You agree to make independent enquiries, involve your family or guardian, verify documents yourself and meet only in safe, public or family settings. NoorNikah is not a party to any relationship, engagement or marriage formed through the platform.
6. Member conduct
You must not harass, threaten, defame, stalk, solicit money from or send obscene material to any member; must not upload another person's photograph or impersonate anyone; must not scrape, copy, resell or republish profile data; and must not use the platform to advertise, recruit or promote any business. Contact details, links and payment requests inside profile text or messages are removed and may lead to suspension.
7. Photographs and content you upload
You confirm you own or have permission to use every image you upload and that it is decent and of the person the profile describes. You grant NoorNikah a limited licence to store, process and display that content strictly to operate your profile in line with the privacy choices you select. You may withdraw content at any time by deleting it.
8. Privacy and consent
Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Profiles are not indexed by search engines, photographs are private by default, and contact details are never shown publicly. By submitting a profile you consent to registered, signed-in members viewing the fields and photographs you have chosen to share.
9. Payments, renewals and refunds
Paid plans grant access to specific features for a stated period. Fees are payable in advance and are, except where the law requires otherwise, non-refundable once a plan has been activated and used. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not create a right to a refund for the remaining period. Full details are in our Refunds & Cancellation policy.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or permanently remove any account that breaches these terms, is reported repeatedly, provides false information, or poses a risk to other members — with no refund of fees paid. You may close your account at any time from your settings.
11. Limitation of liability
The service is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoorNikah is not liable for the conduct of any member, for any loss arising from a relationship or marriage formed through the platform, for indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Grievances
Complaints about content, conduct or data may be raised through the report tools inside the platform or by writing to our grievance officer at help@noornikah.com. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to members residing in GCC countries.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service and the law evolve. Material changes are notified in the app, and continued use after the notice period means you accept the revised terms.
