Child Safety Standards
NoorNikah Child Safety Standards
NoorNikah is a matrimonial service intended exclusively for adults. Protecting children is non-negotiable, and this policy explains the standards we enforce and how anyone can raise a concern.
A service for adults only — 18 and above
NoorNikah is a matrimonial service intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and above. Accounts are created only after date-of-birth confirmation, and any profile belonging to a person under 18 violates these standards and will be removed.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
NoorNikah prohibits, in the strongest possible terms: child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE); child sexual abuse material (CSAM); grooming or attempted grooming of minors; sexual exploitation of minors; and any content that sexualises children. This conduct has no place on NoorNikah and results in immediate removal of the content and restriction or termination of the accounts involved.
What members must never do
Members must not create profiles for anyone under 18 — including profiles on behalf of a minor, however framed. Members must not upload, request, share, promote, or link to child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises children, on this service or through any contact channel connected to it.
How to report a concern
Suspected underage accounts, child-safety concerns, and prohibited content can be reported through the reporting feature in the app — the 'More' menu on any member profile — or by contacting us directly. Reports about messages or profiles are reviewed by our moderation team.
What happens after a report
NoorNikah reviews reports of child-safety concerns, takes appropriate action, removes violating content, and restricts or terminates accounts where warranted. Where the law requires it, we escalate matters to the appropriate authorities and preserve relevant information to support that process.
Contact the child-safety team
You can contact our child-safety team at help@noornikah.com. Please include relevant details — profile names or links, message screenshots, and anything else that helps us understand the concern. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services straight away.
No retaliation for good-faith reports
NoorNikah prohibits retaliation of any kind against people who report safety concerns. Reports are handled with appropriate confidentiality, and a person who reports in good faith will not face action for doing so.
